<p>Wow! <a href="http://mashable.com/2008/12/08/pulitzer-prize-online-journalism/">Mashable reports that the Pulitzer Prize people have opened up the award to online journalists without a print publication</a>, if they meet certain criteria. That means bloggers, e-zine/webzine publishers and perhaps others are seen as legitimate journalists.</p>
<p>As a blogger, publisher of four e-zines, and publisher of five webzines, I welcome this.</p>
<p>And perhaps it&#8217;s not surprising that I heard this news on a social media site: Twitter.</p>
