		<description>I don't think the point was to be as environmentally destructive, and one of the parts of the pledge was "I do this with no fear or concern that I am destroying the planet."  

I didn't participate in the day, but I appreciate their efforts.  Environmentalists do a lot to hamper people's lives (through legislation like Kyoto or Lieberman-Warner), but I think it could be argued that the worst thing they do is get people to accept guilt that they don't deserve.  The Carbon Belch day seemed to be about people who are fighting back against that guilt.  Good for them!</description>
