Vote counting has been highly tainted by fraud, which led directly to the eight-year "reign of terror" by George W. Bush and cronies. 2) Mainstream media that could be trusted to really give weight tot he issues in a serious way. Yeah, the sources that tell the real story are out there, but most people don't know they exist, elt alone how to find them. @Maggie: J. Edgar, now THAT's scary, LOL! I think the big problem is that he so badly wants bipartisan that he's willing to negotiate away all the substance It didn't work for Bill Clinton and it's not working for Obama. Glad they try to get things done: the wishes of the apparent majority while trying to respect the rights of the minority. How much energy gets wasted on swaying your representatives is a travesty too. Why not let the people vote on issues directly? We have the networks and the bandwidth. Now for the trust. Eye opening for me to see the systemic friction caused by a governent of elected representatives.
